Hours

I am in AWE of women who balance work + motherhood at any capacity! My maternity leave is coming to an end & I have been so grateful for this time to focus completely on baby Jack. 👶🏼 This transition is definitely bittersweet. I've missed designing, but have LOVED being home with Jackson. I'm hoping that working part-time & mostly from home strikes the right balance for our family.⠀

I'll be going back to my in-house job as lead graphic designer at Eastside Christian Church partly in the office and partly from home starting next week. I'm also ramping things back up here at Humble Design Studio!⠀

Any tips on getting yourself & baby ready and out the door in the morning? Right now I'm thinking about starting my day at 5:45 to be in the office by 8. 😁⠀

We couldn’t be more excited about the arrival of our baby boy this October! When people ask what I’m the most excited for, I tell them the complete change in routine. I’m looking forward to slowing down, taking time off, and cherishing those first months while adjusting to life with a newborn.⠀

With 9 months to get ready, I starting thinking early on about how best to prep my business for maternity leave. I wanted to ensure I wasn’t leaving existing clients high & dry while also continuing to attract new clients and book projects for when I return. ⠀

Personal post 💙 We are five weeks away (give or take) from our baby boy's arrival! We are eagerly anticipating this new phase of life & all of the change that it will bring. As someone who LOVES planning & routine, I know these first months will be a bit of a challenge! Although life will look very different, I'm so looking forward to taking maternity leave to spend time with our little one adjust to parenthood.⠀
