Why I'm taking a break from blogging
School is out, the weather is warming up, and the heavenly smell of grills has returned. Summer feels like the right time to ditch routine for a little while and try new things. That’s why I’m taking a little hiatus from my blog.
Every year, I love dreaming up a summer bucket list. If you’ve never made one before, I highly recommend it! This year, mine includes a picnic at the beach, making peach sorbet from scratch, traveling, and working on some exciting new things for Humble Design Studio.
A big part of my energy will solely be devoted to the creation of a workbook for small business owners. I’ll be spending time carefully crafting this workbook so that it’s super helpful, engaging, and simple to follow. It’ll include tips, tricks, tutorials, and clear-cut action steps to help take your business to the next level.
While I’ve loved writing weekly blog posts for the past 5 months, a short break is necessary. I’ll be devoting the time that I would have spent blogging to creating this workbook, along with some other fun summer activities.
I’ll also be spending a good chunk of my time working with my awesome clients. I still have some availability in my schedule for client work this summer, so contact me soon if you’re interested in working together!
I’ll be back on the blog come August, but until then, let’s stay connected. I’ll still be posting helpful, encouraging content to social media as well as updates on what I’m working on. Follow along on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest.
I already can’t wait to get back to blogging. There are so many things I’ve learned as a graphic designer that I’m looking forward to sharing with you! In the meantime, this is the perfect time to catch up on some of my past posts:
- Custom Logos vs. Stock Logos

Enjoy your summer and let’s keep in touch!
